Barrenwort	Known as Yin Yang Huo for over, 2400 years in China to have beneficial affects on energy levels and sex drive, to name a few. Lepidium meyenii root	Also called Maca has been used for millennia in Peru as both a food and medicinal herb. Reputed to enhance strength and endurance as well as being potent aphrodisiac. In fact the Spanish colonists used it as currency. Maca is also rich in essential minerals such as selenium, calcium, magnesium, and iron, Maca also contains Essential Fatty Acids like Linoleic acid, Palmitic acid, and Oleic acids, plus it contains vital Polysaccharides necessary for health and well being. Maca is an excellent medicinal food that is high in protein and vital nutrients that heightens libido and improves semen quality. Maca acts to facilitate the L-Arginine into Nitric Oxide conversion.

Mucuna puriens	Called the L-Dopa or Velvet Bean is rich with the Amino acid L-Dopa which helps maintain healthy cholesterol and blood sugar levels. Velvet Bean is also known to increase the Human Growth Hormone (HGH) which supports healthy testosterone levels. This amazing plant has been acclaimed as an aphrodisiac for centuries. L-Dopa is converted to a vital neurotransmitter, Dopamine, to help produce lightening rod erections. Clinical studies in India have validated that the plant does indeed have aphrodisiac activity. In 2002, a U.S. patent was filed on the use of Velvet Bean to stimulate the release of growth hormone in humans.
Research cited in the patent indicated that the high levels of L-dopa in Mucuna seed were converted to dopamine which stimulated the release of growth hormone by the pituitary gland. L-dopa and dopamine are also effective inhibitors of prolactin. Prolactin is a hormone released by the pituitary gland; increased levels are considered to cause erection failure in males. In one study, oral intake of the seeds in 56 human males was able to improve erection, duration of coitus, and post-coital satisfaction after only four weeks of treatment. The seed also has documented fertility promoting and sperm producing effects in human males (being able to improve sperm count and motility).
Eurycoma longifolia	Referred to as Tongkat Ali in Indonesia and Malaysia. Tongkat Ali is well reputed as ancient medicine for sexual dysfunctions. Today this potent botanical friend is used by body builders for its Testosterone enhancing properties. There are many scientific studies at Malaysian Universities; the University of Science Malaysia (USM) has confirmed the enhancing sexual characteristics of Tongkat Ali. Currently studies show promise as a possible anti-cancer supplement, as well as studies for increased muscle strength.
The British Journal of Sports Medicine published the results of a scientific study in 2003, which showed that Eurycoma longifolia caused increased muscle strength and size when compared to a placebo.
Panax Ginseng	Ginseng functions as an adaptogen (such as cordyceps, rhodiola, and ashwaghanda by increasing levels of epinephrine, norepinephrine, serotonin and dopamine when they are low); this has an energy promoting effect. Ginseng is the root of the perennial herbs which contain a series of tetracyclic triterpenoid saponins (ginsenosides) as active ingredients. It is considered a tonic that enhances physical and sexual performance.
In that study, Viroji Wiwanitkit performed an in vitro study to assess the effect of ginseng on sperm count in vitro. Ten test and 10 control semen samples were used to assess the effect of ginseng extract. There was a significant difference of average sperm counts at 30 minutes. The control group show significant decreasing in the sperm count at 30 minutes. According to this study, the ginseng extract can help preserve the sperm count.
